Music has the power to bring people together and unite them in a common purpose. It has the ability to lift spirits, inspire change, and bring joy to those who participate in its creation and appreciation.

The Willamette Valley Concert Band has a long history of bringing music to life in our community. Originally founded as the Albany Civic Band in 1970, we have been performing and enriching the lives of our community members for over 50 years. In partnership with the Greater Albany Public Schools District, we have developed a mentoring program to support and encourage the growth of young musicians.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we are also able to provide financial assistance to local band programs and offer scholarships for students to attend summer music camps. Your support helps us to achieve our goals of sharing the joy of music and fostering the next generation of musicians. We are deeply grateful for your contributions.
Today, we continue to perform throughout the Willamette Valley, sharing our love of music with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
The Willamette Valley Concert Band is excited to announce that we will be auditioning new directors for each upcoming show. As we move into this new chapter, we would like to express our appreciation for the hard work and dedication of our previous conductors, who have helped us develop and grow as a band. We’re confident that each new director’s approach will allow us to bring fresh ideas and perspectives to our music, and we can’t wait to share their performances with you.
Join us in sharing the joy of music! Our rehearsals take place Thursday nights from 7:30-9:30 PM September to July. Contact us today to learn more about joining the Willamette Valley Concert Band!
